Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. My degree in Psychology included a focus on positive psychology. My teaching experience includes time I spent at a church where I taught the children. It was during this time, along with my education, that helped me see how important it is that a child has a good education and develops a love for learning. I truly enjoy learning and consider myself a life-long learner. I enjoy sharing this joy of learning with my students and seeing them grow in their own learning process. I'm available to tutor math from elementary levels to middle school levels into algebra courses. I can also work with your student on English subjects, which includes grammar. I also work with students on psychology topics and social sciences. The topics I enjoy the most during tutoring sessions, however, focus on test prep and study skills. I have found that much of what is learned in these sessions can be applied to any subject as well as many other aspects of life for the student. I spend my free time taking my dog on hikes, going on travels, swimming, baking, meditating, and reading on current research within the social sciences.
