I have been working as a teacher in Austin for the last three years, where I teach 5th grade. I attended Texas State University where I studied Spanish and journalism. I made my living working as a tutor for Spanish and writing, and really enjoyed it. I am able to tutor in many different subjects. My specialties for tutoring are English (ESL/ELL, reading, writing, phonics, literature, grammar/mechanics, and essay editing), mathematics (elementary and middle school), Spanish, and test preparation. I can assist students who are preparing to take the ACT, PSAT, or SAT. I can also offer support to students who are looking to improve their general study skills and organization.It is my belief that struggling students have the best chance of improvement when they are in environments that allow for more individual instruction. This allows them plenty of attention, and they are able to work at their own pace. I use these methods in my tutoring sessions, and truly enjoy the chance to do so.
